This little ditty from Baltimore is not about Bandit Tape but rather about “Tape Bandits”
Police have arrested three men and are seeking at least five others in connection with a series of armed robberies committed by a gang known as the “duct tape bandits.” The gang members tied up their victims with duct tape.
Arrested yesterday and charged with at least one count of armed robbery was Rufus Tucker, 23, of the 1600 block of N. Calhoun St., police said.
Arrested Tuesday on drug charges were Antoine Torain, 20, of the 3500 block of Shirley Ave., and James L. Ray, 20, of the 500 block of Dolphin St., police said.
Police subsequently filed multiple charges of armed robbery against Torain and Ray when police traced the expensive jewelry they were wearing to Tuesday’s robbery of the Lexington Brokers in the 200 block of W. Lexington St.
A tip concerning a vanity license plate provided police a break in the cases.
Police have issued warrants charging Anderson Jerry Crenshaw, 19, of the 2600 block of Shirley Ave., with the April 4 armed robbery at Jeans City, in the 4500 block of Edmondson Ave., and last weekend’s armed robbery of the Downtown Locker Room, in the first block of N. Calvert St.
Crenshaw and four others remain at large, police said.
